Extreme Metal Forum?

Post by Jim Fear » 20 Nov 2002, 15:14

I know there's a black/death forum already but there's more types of extreme metal than that. You can't really call Converge, DEP etc. black/death can you?

I dunno, DEP, Converge etc are more Hardcore aint they? So maybe adding a Hardcore forum would do the trick?? Maybe there should be forums for all different types of music, like Kerrap! Have on their messageboard?

LOL, I know, but still :P. I think there should be forums for different genre's, as I'm sure the Hardcore people feel left out, as do the 80's Metal people and the false, oops, I mean Nu Metal people do etc. :P.

That might be a better idea, 'cos the forum isn't used enough to have the need for loads of music forums.
I do not have anything funny to say for my signature. So have this instead.

If it was just Metal though, loadsa people would start posting about Nu Metal bands :'(. Hmm, this is tricky! I still opt for diff. forums for diff. music styles, so nobody is left out..

Just use black/ death as extreme metal! That way hardcore, metalcore, thrash etc could be merged into one!

But some Hardcore I wouldn't really see as Extreme Metal *cough Hatebreed cough* lol. I dunno, I should be less picky :P Thrash isn't really Extreme Metal either(still a great form of music though)..oops, there I go again lol.

Bleh :P They sound more Nu Metally than Hardcore to me. Maybe that's just me though? They just don't sound particularly extreme..

Not heard alot, but they sounded fairly Nu Metally. Not really like Biohazard (ugh, they should quit the Rapping) or Stampin' Ground (faster and heavier than Hatebreed :P). LOL.

Most of the two albums I've heard are fast and heavy, they remind me of stampin ground but I havent heard enough of stampin ground to really judge. Biohazard really should quit the rapping too though!! :D

yeah meta,

it would be good to have separate forums for each type, but to not leave anyone out, we would need a few hundred differant sections if you're gonna be as picky as you are. I mean, you could say metal, and yes, people would post about nu-metal, but it's still a type of metal, as is metalica, and hatebreed, and cradle of filth.

umm... im not expert, but...

isnt extreme metal fairly similar to death/ black metal? surely seperate forums arent necessary there? that would be like having separate forums for punk and oi , or something.
