Overview
Introducing Pama International; ROOTS ROCKERS REGGAE - soul-fueled & dub-induced for the 21st century, fronted by long-time musical cohorts Sean Flowerdew (keyboards/writer), Finny (lead singer) and Lynval Golding (The Specials/Fun Boy 3) alongside members from; Bentley Rhythm Ace, Pop Will Eat Itself, Lee Perry’s band, Galliano, Manasseh and more.

To date Pama Intl have released 4 critically acclaimed albums, recorded 2 Radio One Sessions, sold-out tours of Italy, Switzerland & UK, played triumphant sets at Glastonbury, Womad, Respect, Wickerman and Beautiful Days festivals plus signed deals in USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Mexico & Spain. Their recordings have been championed on the airwaves and sound systems the world over including here at home with David Rodigan, xfm, Phil Jupitus-BBC6, Brinsley Ford- BBC6, Alex Lester-Radio2, Chris Hawkins-BBC6, DJ Scratchy and Mike Davies-Radio One.  They've performed alongside Jimmy Cliff, Prince Buster, Lee Perry, Rico Rodriguez, The Skatalites, Toots & The Maytals, Mad Professor, Don Letts, Madness, Channel One Sound System and Easy Star All-stars, creating a huge grassroots following, with a live show that has become second to none.  2006 saw them become the first new band in 30 years to sign to the legendary Trojan Records.  The resulting release boasted a classic line-up of vintage ska and reggae guests including; Rico Rodriguez, Dennis Alcapone, Dawn Penn, Derrick Morgan and the first recording since the 1970's from Dave & Ansel Collins, and immediately won global praise.

“YOU'D swear blind this CD was a compilation of forgotten reggae gems from the 70s. A wondrous revelation of an album. **** out of 5” Daily Star

"a mouth watering slice of authentic Club Ska cool for the 21st Century. **** out of 5" Music-news.com

"10 out of 10....Seriously it is that good" FFRUK.com

“Neither too modern or too retro, it blends classic ska and reggae rhythms with a double shot of dub” Record Collector

“Trojan Sessions should put Pama International firmly on the worldwide stage. ALBUM OF THE WEEK" Update magazine

"An astounding and refreshing album of top class reggae music. Reggae music doesn’t come much better than this" UK Reggae Guide

Following on from the success of their Trojan Rcds liaison and getting back to their deep-rooted DIY philosophy Pama Intl have now launched their own Rockers Revolt label (immediately picked up for distribution by Aktive/Universal).  Through their Rockers Revolt imprint Pama Intl have scheduled a series of Killer 7" vinyl releases for Sept, Oct and Nov'07, as a prelude to their eagerly awaited long player 'Pama Intl Love Filled Dub Band' (RRCD/LP-001) due in Dec'07.  The album is recorded and currently being mixed by John Collins (producer of The Specials finest hour 'Ghost Town') and Sean Flowerdew.

To promote the release of the first single 'Pama Intl-Come As You Are b/w Dub As You Are' RR7-001(versioned by the legendary Mad Professor) on 10 Sept'07 they will be performing 3 select shows;

Sept'07;
09 Bestival, Isle of Wight - House of Bamboo stage 2pm
15 Bristol Clockwork
20 London Electric Ballroom - supporting Mick Jones (The Clash) & Tony James' band Carbon/Sillicon

“the best live roots band I’ve ever seen” FACT magazine.

With show stopping performances at this years Glastonbury (on both Leftfield and Dance stages), sell-out club shows and festivals up and down the country and continued inroads being made in Europe 2007 has already proved to be a phenomenal year for Pama Intl.  The rest of the year looks set to exceed all expectations.
