I've never had too much of a problem with these, then again I'm now at level 20!

spent a good 60 hours on this bugger before I completed it, made sure I did all the side missions aswell and it's been my favourite game since oblivion.

they've just announced 3 downloadable content episodes aswell, 360 exclusive mind.

Make sure you all make multiple saves often as once you complete the final mission it doesn't let you carry on.

Yeah I've heard that you can't carry on afterwards. I've just been exploring shitloads. I really need to get Xbox live as I want to get the new content for Fable 2 as well when they finally release it!

i have fallout 3!! I've started it on hard though (which is normally piss easy on most games these days) and i'm actually finding it hard!! keep running out of health, can't afford many of those injection things to get it back up again and keep running out of ammo (even with me pickpocketing it off everyone!) i've even died a few times  i've only played it for an hour or two so far.. reckon i should start again on normal mode, or will i still run out of all this stuff? guess i'm on early on though and need to level up a bit and max out my gun skills

playing on hard mode you'll get more XP from killing enemies, so you'll get stronger quicker...not sure how much it will balance it out, but it might be worth sticking with it.

Corr, just finished it, spent a good 80 hours on this. I've never been so immersed in a game before, just need to go back to it and collect all the bobbleheads and unique weapons, and then relaaax.

I'm not that far into yet, far enough to be picking up assault rifles and mini nukes, but I'm loving the hunting rifle for some reason. It's just a sexy beast for head shots.

Fire ants can fuck off and die though.

unfortunately i'm a spazz so when i got told by some NPC to hit the antennas, instead of realising that it makes them frenzy and attack anything, i thought it was the best way to kill them. And so me using VATs forever targetting the antenna. Twat.

I haven't played for a while but I was mucking about with the fire ants last time I did play.

I find the best way to deal with them is to leg it and get as many of them to follow you as possible. Then they accidentally hit each other with their fire and start fighting, which you can stand off and watch then you just take out whichever one wins the fight.

I tried to kill the family a few times, I nearly bloody did it as well but I ran out of ammo for the last two of them and fucked it up, was pretty disappointing. Need to seriously stock up for my next try.
Just as a postscript to what we've been saying, Professor Lewis, I'd like to say... I saw your mum, coming out of the VD clinic. I'd like to say that anyone with aids, that's you that is. That's your girlfriend, and your mum, and your dad.

Worst. Ending. Ever.

Fortunately I saved before entering the last building, so I just legged it off and now am just running around the map investigating awesome things. Said wandering around is so much more fun when you have a energy weapons maxed out and a plasma rifle with all the rounds I'll ever need. What's that? a massive enclave assault? *zap* *headsplode*

Haha yes! Especially if you've got A321's Plasma Rifle and the Alien Blaster in case you accidentally come across more than one Deathclaw at once or a Behemoth!

The only benefit of doing the main quest in relation to side quests is that you get to a point where you get into the Brotherhood Of Steel's base and can get taught to use power armour which makes things extremely easy!
