Skink - 5475 Days EP

Post by The amazing vomit stain » 28 Aug 2008, 18:26

Time for some shameless self promotion.

This EP of mine has been recently released and it is available. I am not going to give you the press release as most of you a little of what it is I do. The most I will say is that I am very pleased with the end result. I am also very interested in what you guys think about it. If you could soare a minute to listen it would be awesome.

You can listen at this address.
http://www.last.fm/music/skink/5475+Days+E.P.

Or you can buy here. (If you are feeling generous of course)
http://www.momt.co.uk/shop/25

Of course if you see me about town you can get one from me as well.

That's about it for my shameless self promotion. Apart from if you have anything to say about it then leave some messages here. As I said, I interested in what people have to say. Good, bad or otherwise.

Skink
Well I could call out when the going gets tough
The things that we learned are no longer enough
No language just sound is all we need know
To synchronize love to the beat of the show

And if you don't know what Skink sounds like here is the press release and artwork.

Following on from his self titled debut album, 5475 Days is a journey into the more experimental realms of Skink’s electronic soundscapes, taking in elements of drone, found sound, folk and dark ambience.

The EP divided into seven parts is a highly emotional piece of work and expresses some deeper issues that have been lurking under the radar of Skink’s psyche since the beginning of this musical project.

The key tracks of the EP for us are the Last Post sampling “Part II” and the gorgeous Bibio meets Current 93 lament of “Part VII”.

If your more into downloads the album is available from Tunetribe.

Hopefully it should be up on I-tunes and other larger download places in the next couple of weeks.

And if case you haven't got them and are interested we still have in stock, Skink's debut album and the remix companion 100 Random Signs which features a fabbo remix by DJ Vapour.

I like what i've heard of this Skink. I may have to invest in a copy when I get paid. Any future live appearences soon? I'll be in the Reading/Newbs area for a while, wouldn't mind seeing some of this live..

Wicked if you do grab one! :)

As for live performances I haven't got any lined up. Primarily because nowhere or no-one is interested enough. I'll let you know as soon as I do though.
