The old ones are the best. :chuckle:
Well I could call out when the going gets tough
The things that we learned are no longer enough
No language just sound is all we need know
To synchronize love to the beat of the show

When that bloke says "yeeeeeees" in the chorus of that new one (is it called Shine?), he sounds like one of the characters from Little Britain. You know the one I mean. Also, how fucking shit is the chorus to that song? Jesus christ.

I've recently learned that the lyric is "I know, she knows i'm not fond of asking", and the song is not in fact about a man attempting to conceal from his girlfriend the fact that he doesn't like her taste in literature.

never really gave enough of a shit to listen to it properly, and he mangles all his lyrics.

also, what is "i know she knows I'm not fond asking" even supposed to mean?

This thread is a little like the band themselves in the fact that it just won't die!

At their zenith, The Kooks were a band that weren't afraid to look human nature in the eye and say "I know you"
